Accessibility

How Shvasa is built to be usable by everyone, and how to tell us when it is not.

We want Shvasa to be usable by everyone who wants to practise. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level AA and have not yet been audited against them. Today: keyboard navigation everywhere, visible focus, text that can be enlarged, colour that never carries meaning alone, and respect for your system’s light, dark and reduced-motion settings. Captions are not yet available for classes; every posture is cued in words meanwhile, and this page will say when captions ship and when an audit has been done.

In classes

Every posture is named and cued in words, so a class can be followed by ear. Teachers offer an easier option for each posture. Classes can be paused and stopped at any moment.

Classes with your teacher, and reminders

A class a teacher asks to see can always be practised without the camera; your teacher then decides from your practice. The camera view and the recording sign are never the only way to know what is happening: the words on the screen say it too. Reminders are plain-text email with one link.

Tell us

If something is hard to use, or a page does not work with your assistive technology, write to the support address shown in your profile and say what you were trying to do. We treat accessibility reports as defects and fix them.
